The BFRC Door Energy Ratings Scheme (DER) was launched in September 2011. Now BFRC energy efficient doors are available to homeowners, manufacturers, retailers and installers.

It extends use of the renowned and respected BFRC energy ratings label to
all kinds of domestic doors – external pedestrian doors and French, folding
and sliding glazed doors. This label makes the levels (A to G) for energy efficient doors easily understandable and highly visible and allows homeowners, specifiers and others to easily assess the energy efficiency properties of the doors they are purchasing and quickly compare competing product.

Door manufacturers, fabricators, installers and retailers who wish to register with BFRC can phone or email to get the process started.

Registration with the BFRC DER scheme is not currently a compliant route for Part L.
