BFRC launch new website

The BFRC has today launched its new easy to navigate website @ www.bfrc.org.uk - It has been designed to allow both consumers and suppliers access to information on window energy ratings.

The emission of CO2 into the atmosphere is creating global warming. The main causes of CO2 emission are transport and buildings. Buildings and our use of energy in them are becoming more critical and attention is being focused on how energy efficient our buildings really are. Research shows that 23% of lost energy from buildings is through windows and doors.
If your windows are inefficient you will inevitably have high energy bills and will be paying to heat the planet rather than your home.
How do you know that you are buying the right products? This is where the BFRC Window Energy Rating System and the new website comes in. It helps you to select energy efficient windows for your home by comparing windows and rating them to tell you which is the most energy efficient brand of window in a recognisable A-G multicoloured banding.
The aim of the BFRC is to give you the information that you need to make the best choice. We do not recommend one material or system. We simply provide the information on which systems are the most energy efficient.
