Expansion continues at BFRC, as the UK’s most trusted and widely recognised rating organisation Ratings Council, welcomes Joshua Ratcliffe to the team as Laboratory Manager. Based at the state-of-the-art dedicated window, glass and door testing centre in Telford, Joshua will be leading the next phase of development for BFRC, as the launch of more lab-based testing and certification services are imminent.
Joshua comments: “I’ve worked in the fenestration industry for almost ten years now and during that time have fulfilled a number of laboratory-based roles, predominantly responsible for organising and running tests, liaising with clients and communicating results. This experience sets me up perfectly for my new role at BFRC, so when the opportunity came up, I knew I had to grab it with both hands!
“The lab at BFRC is impressive. It’s equipped with the very latest in window and door testing equipment and I’m keen to drive forward with my ideas on how we introduce these testing and certification products and services to the market. The BFRC has a well-earned reputation of being a leading voice in driving standards across our industry and I’m excited to play a part in this next stage of their development. Our customers will be able to benefit from the one-stop-shop approach to testing and certification, making things easier and more cost effective going forward.”
Richard Sellman, Managing Director at BFRC, concludes: “The Lab Manager role at BFRC is a role that is key to driving our next stage of growth. Joshua brings with him a level of knowledge and expertise from his previous industry roles that means he can hit the ground running to help implement the expansion of our testing and certification services and optimise capacity. Joshua’s appointment further cements our commitment to delivering on all aspects of ‘The BFRC Difference’, as we continue to build a strong, dedicated team to service the testing and certification needs of the fenestration, commercial and construction industry. He’s already proving a fantastic addition to the BFRC, and we wish him every success as he embarks on his new role within the organisation.”
